Very few events in computer systems actually delete anything when you instruct them to be deleted. It is probably better that you think of most deletion events as setting the item to a “hidden and inactive” state. One of the positives that can be gained from computers not throwing anything away is that you may easily reactivate most deleted items.
This version of Paladin POS had added a pop up message in the body of the PO anytime a part number is manually entered, found in inventory and also found to be marked as deleted. The purchasing agent will be
prompted for an approval to restore this item to active status before the item is accepted as a valid PO item. If approval is not received, the manually entered item is cleared leaving the item marked as deleted.
