How to set the default margin for new EDI items

When a Cardinal Health invoice item is missing a retail price, EDI processing calculates a suggested retail price using the item cost and a default margin for new EDI items.

Example: If the default margin is 35%, and the cost of the item is $10, then the calculated suggested retail price is $15.38.

1. In Paladin, from the main menu, select File > Setup.
2. Select the Company tab. 
3. Your store should already be entered in the Store Name box.
4. In the EDI pane, in the Default Margin on new EDI items box, enter a percentage value (without the percentage sign %).

Example: If the default margin is 35%, enter 35.

5. Click Save, then click Close.

How to download and process Cardinal Health EDI files

1. In Paladin, on the top ribbon, select the Inventory module.
2. On the bottom ribbon of the module, select F9 EDI.
3. In the EDI Processing window, click Download Files.
4. If the store has more than one EDI supplier, in the EDI Maintenance Processing window, select Cardinal Health, then click OK.
5. If EDI files are available, they will be downloaded and processed in the following order:

1. • Maintenance
   • Invoice
   • Price Change
   • Promos
   • Anything else

6. If the Find POs window opens, some processed files were associated with open purchase orders. Select the purchase orders to close, then click Close POs. You will automatically return to the EDI Processing window.

Note: Paladin closes all filled POs; therefore, only open POs appear in the Matching Purchase Orders pane of the Find PO window.

7. Optional: In the EDI Processing window, click Reporting to view details about the processed EDI files.
