This article provides instruction and information on loading a client’s logo onto a non-EMV Ingneico credit card device.
The reason these devices must be non-EMV is because Paladin is locked out of this capability by the 3rd party software, NETePay, required to process EMV payments. By default, the displayed logo is the Paladin logo, but this can be changed on the following non-EMV Ingenico devices:
- Ingenico ISC350
- Ingenico ISC250
- Ingenico ISC480
The logo needs to be a specific pixel size based on the model of the device. The pixel sizes are as follows:
For this device | Logo size |
Ingenico ISC350 | 640 pixels (width) by 480 pixels (height) |
Ingenico ISC250 & Ingenico ISC480 | 480 pixels (width) by 272 pixels (height) |
To load a client’s logo:
- Have the client email their logo to you.
- In Paint, edit the logo to the correct size (shown above)
- Save the logo once as AD1.JPG. It is extremely important that you capitalize the file extension. If you do not, this will not work.
- Save the logo again, but this time as AD2.JPG. It is extremely important that you capitalize the file extension. If you do not, this will not work.
- Get a connection to the client’s terminal that the non-EMV credit card device is connected to.
- Transfer the AD1.JPG and AD2.JPG files to their current Paladin build folder.
- As Paladin Support, open Paladin, and on the top menu, select Maintain > Utilities>Paladin>iSC350 Utility.
- In the iSC350 window, select Connect.
- In the File Transfer pane, select File.
- In the Open window, browse to and select the AD1.JPG logo, then click Open.
- In the File Transfer pane, select Load and wait until you receive a RESULT SUCCESS message.
- In the File Transfer pane, select File.
- In the Open window, browse to, and select, the AD2.JPG logo, then click Open.
- In the File Transfer pane, select Load and wait until you receive a RESULT SUCCESS message.
- In the File Transfer window, click Offline, then click Online. The non-EMV credit card device should now be displaying the client’s logo.
- Close the iSC350 window and log out of Paladin Support.
- Repeat steps 5-17 for all other non-EMV credit card devices the store wants their logo loaded onto.
