In Paladin, you can delete an inventory item. When an inventory item is “deleted”, it is not permanently deleted; it is just put in an inactive state. The inventory item can be restored/activated.

To delete/inactivate an inventory item:
Note: When deleting an inventory item with stock on hand (SOH), the stock on hand will also be removed and added to shrinkage.

- In Paladin, on the top ribbon, select Inventory Module.
- In the Part # box, enter the part number to recall.
- On the bottom ribbon of the module, select F3 Rename Item.
- In the Rename Part # window, add ZZZ to the front of the part number.
- Select F12 Rename.
- On the bottom ribbon, select F6 Serial # & Alt Part #.
- In the Alternate Part # & Serial # window, highlight the alternate part # and select Remove until all the alternate part numbers are removed.
- Enable the Serial # option.
- Highlight serial # and select Remove until all the serial numbers are removed.
- Click F12 Finish.
- On the bottom ribbon of the Inventory tab, select F11 Suppliers.
- In the Edit Suppliers window, highlight supplier and select Remove.
- Select F12 Close once ALL suppliers have been removed.
- In the Order Control tab, Stock Information pane, change Max Qty to zero and enable the EDI lock.
- In the Pricing tab, Pricing Levels pane, remove all pricing and margin information.
- In the General tab, Classes pane, remove all assigned class information.
- In the General tab, Item Information pane, remove location and remove any core charge, paint fees.
- On the bottom ribbon, select F12 Save.
- Select F2 Delete Item.
To view deleted inventory items:
- In Paladin, from the top menu, select Maintain > Data Viewer.
- Select the Inventory tab.
- In the Part Number Filter box, enter the part number (renamed from above steps).
- Check Include Deleted Items.
- Click View.
