BOGA: Buy One Get Any

Note: It is recommended to have a Paladin TSR help set up this feature.

With this type of sale, two different sale lists can be mixed and matched.

There are two ways this BOGA sale apples: 

• Buy # item(s) off a sale list and get another from second sale list free
• Buy # item(s) off a sale list and get a percentage off another item from a second sale list

Buy # item(s) off a sale list and get another from second sale list free

To set up Buy One Get Any (BOGA) Sale List to Sale List, second item free::

1. In Paladin, from the main menu, select File > Setup.
2. Select the Sale List tab.
3. In the Sales pane, click New. In the Name box, enter a name for the BOGA sale.
4. In the ID box, enter a unique identification for the sale.

Note: No setting is required in the Source box.

5.  In the Type list, select Advanced Sale.
6.  If you live in a state that reduces taxable amounts on BOGA sales, check Sale Reduces Taxable Amount.
7. Click Save.
8.  In the Sale Items pane, click New.
9.  In the Part Number box, enter the Part Number of the BOGA item.
10.  In the Price box, enter 0.
11. Click Save.
12. Repeat steps 1 through 11 to create second sale item.

13. Select the Pricing Plan tab.
14. Under the Name list, click New.
15. In the Name box, enter the name of the BOGA sale.
16. Check Apply to all transactions.
17. In the Sale List Range Start box, enter the Unique Sale ID number.
18. In the Sale List Range End box, enter the Unique Sale ID number.
19. In the Discount or Markup list, select Discount Price.
20. In the Advanced Settings pane, check Enable Advanced Settings.
21. Select Buy One Get One from the Sale Type list.
22. In the Advanced Settings pane, in each of the following boxes, enter the following information:

Sale Limitations	Max Quantity of Items Discounted

When the item is sold, its attributes are shown on the invoice as follows:

Setting up this sale is the same procedure used in the Buy # item(s) off a sale list and get another from second sale list free section above.

The Pricing Plan is different in that the Discount Type will be Percent Off (shown in Figure 4).
