Paladin Supports National Type Evaluation Program (NTEP)
Whether a business is dishing out candy, measuring pharmaceuticals, or weighing produce and bulk bin ingredients, it’s imperative that they weigh goods on an NTEP-certified scale.
NTEP certification is granted by the National Type Evaluation Program (NTEP) Committee of the National Conference on Weights and Measures. The standards they use for certification, with guidance from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), cover every aspect of a scale’s use, including capacity, accuracy, and the effects of temperature fluctuations on its operations.
Every state has its own agencies and departments that monitor scales and inspect them for accuracy. Paladin is set up to support NTEP CC by providing certificate information on store’s terminals connected to Magellan 9800i scanners.

Alternate Inventory Item Locations
Using location codes for inventory items is one of Paladin’s best practices to maintain healthy and productive inventory levels. PaladinPOS now provides the option to stores to place and assign locations to inventory items in multiple (alternate) locations.

Update to Advanced Lookup
Advanced Lookup now has search term persistence, that is, it will stay open while you work with inventory. To close Advanced Lookup, press the Esc key on your keyboard.
Ace in-store gift card mall program
To participate in the Ace in-store gift card mall program, Ace stores need to sign up for the Ace gift card program plus the InComm in-store gift card mall program.
Enrollment is open throughout the year, so stores can sign up for the program at any time. The InComm team will provide the timeline for when the program can be launched, including receiving the display and gift cards, and when the merchandiser will come to set up the display.
The initial assortment from InComm includes 10 gift cards from 70 different non-Ace merchants and a 72-peg spinner rack. Two pegs on the spinner rack are reserved for Ace gift cards, which can be ordered from the store’s RSC or taken from existing inventory.
There is no cost for the program, which includes the free spinner rack.
