Non-inventory items are not tangible products; so, there is no corresponding stock on hand (SOH). A non-inventory item is often used to create a dump SKU or to represent a group of items sold together in a kit. When a non-inventory item is sold or returned, the SOH will be set to zero and recorded in the SOH History viewer for auditing purposes.
To define an item as non-inventory:
- In Paladin, on the top ribbon, select the Inventory module.
- In the Inventory tab, enter a part number in the Part # box.
- Press Enter.
- Click the General tab.
- On the top ribbon of the the Item information pane, check Non-Inventory in the upper-right corner.
