Another feature that has been present in Paladin’s Pharmacy system has been shared with all Paladin POS users. You may now flag certain inventory items as requiring a signature from the customer to purchase. This feature also includes five lines of text that can be displayed on the signature pad (if your store is using the large display signature pads) as well as recorded on the invoice for the sale.
To enable this new feature click File – Setup – Company and scroll down the screen to the Signature Required group box. Click the box beside “Enable Signature Required” and enter the Class number that you will use as the trigger “flag” to force capture of the customer’s signature. Since inventory allows three unique Class values to be stored with every item, you should have no difficulty saving this Class number on those special inventory items. Remember… EDI processing normally updates Class 1, so we recommend use of Class 2 or 3 for this feature.
