For SIGIS member pharmacies, Paladin Point of Sale now checks the age of the Eligible Product List (EPL) weekly and downloads a new EPL from SIGIS when the current EPL is more than 24 days old. If the EPL cannot be downloaded due to a connection or other issue, the download is tried again the following week.

Previously, the age of the current EPL was checked daily and a new EPL was downloaded when the current EPL was more than 7 days old. These frequent downloads could overload SIGIS servers.

You can also manually request a new EPL.

To manually update the EPL, follow these steps:

Note: You must be a manager or other high-level employee to perform these steps.

  1. Open Paladin Point of Sale.
  2. On the Maintain menu, click Utilities, click Pharmacy Utilities, and then click Import SIGIS EPL. If a newer EPL is available, it will be downloaded and automatically processed. A green status bar tells you the progress of the download. The picture below shows you where to look.

Password settings removed

SIGIS password settings have been removed from Paladin Point of Sale. SIGIS passwords are no longer required.

Setup to use the new SIGIS communication system
