When you turn on the special order feature (Enable Special Orders) in Paladin Point of Sale, quotes that were stored as Special Order transactions are moved into the Quote category (see picture below).

Similarly, when you turn on the on-hold feature for inventory items (Enable Inventory On Hold), existing quotes that were stored as On Hold transactions are moved into the Quote category (see picture below).

Note: Steps for turning on the special order and inventory on hold features are provided at the end of this topic.

To inform you about the move and give you the option to cancel, the following warning messages will now appear.

To turn on the special order feature, follow these steps:

  1. On the File menu, click Setup.
  2. Click the Company
  3. In the Special Orders pane, select Enable Special Orders.
  4. Click Save, and then click Clo

To turn on the inventory on hold feature, follow these steps:

  1. On the File menu, click Setup.
  2. Click the Invoice (Store)
  3. In the Invoice pane, select Enable Inventory On Hold.
  4. Click Save, and then click Clo
