When you enter customer information from a driver’s license or state ID in the NPLEx Customer Info Required window, you are now required to enter the agency that issued the ID in the Issuing Agency box.
If you scan a state ID or driver’s license with a 2D barcode scanner, the customer information fields are filled in automatically and do not require manual entry.

The ID issuing agency is the latest addition to the required NPLEx information for driver’s licenses and state IDs. In the following screenshot, all required NPLEx information is identified by a red asterisk (*).
What is NPLEx?
NPLEx stands for National Precursor Log Exchange. NPLEx is a national system that manages the amount of pseudoephedrine (used in cold medicines) that a person can buy because it can be used in the illegal manufacture of methamphetamine (meth).
