We’ve developed a more user-friendly and efficient way find articles on a particular topic in the Paladin Point of Sale Knowledge Base. We think you’ll like it!
When in doubt, click About
Our new About articles contain a list of Knowledge Base articles on a topic.
For example, the About Special Orders topic contains a list of all Knowledge Base articles about special orders in Paladin Point of Sale.
Each About article has a table of related How to articles with two columns—Title and Area.
- To open a How to article, click the title.
- To find out which part of Paladin Point of Sale the article applies to, view the Area column.
Example: How to place a special order for a non-stocked item applies to the Invoice/Quote module.
Finding the About articles
When you search for a topic that has an About article, the About article will appear in the search results.
To view all of the about articles published so far, you can do either of the following from the Knowledge Base search page:
- Search for the article About: When in doubt, click About.
- In the Browse Solutions list, click About (KBA), and then scroll through the list.
To find a specific About topic, in the Search box, enter the title or keywords.
Looking forward – a work in progress
Currently, we have 41 About topics and the list is growing. If you are familiar with our How to manage articles, you will notice that the About articles are replacing them, and that the multiple procedures in the How to manage articles are now available as individual articles. Now, you no longer have to scroll through long articles with many sections, and you can easily search for a specific procedure.
For example, About Special Orders replaces How to manage pricing plans and sale lists. The procedures that were in the How to manage article, such as How to place a special order for a non-stocked item, are now separate topics in the Knowledge Base.
