Paladin Data Corporation is partnering with the Central Oregon Shrine Club in the sixth annual Run for a Child 5K and 10K Aug. 11 in Bend, Oregon. The event supports the Shriners Hospital for Children Portland and the children and families it serves.
The event, which begins and ends at Riverbend Park in the Old Mill District in Bend, funds the Motion Analysis Clinic which helps patients gain better mobility. Over 100 children from Deschutes, Crook and Jefferson counties receive treatment at the Shriners Hospital for Children in Portland each year. Shriners Hospitals for Children provide care for children up to 18 with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate conditions, regardless of the family’s ability to pay.
The sponsorship is part of Paladin Data Corporation’s ongoing effort to support charitable causes in Central Oregon. The company headquarters is on Awbrey Butte in Bend.
The Run for a Child is part of Shriners Day in Central Oregon where families can participate in the 5K and 10K run and walk, enjoy a barbecue, youth activities, a silent auction and more.
