A Paladin customer account can include multiple rewards numbers or other IDs, such as pharmacy customer IDs. This feature makes it easy for families or other groups to have one account, and the history of their purchases is all in one place.

In this system, each customer account can have unlimited alternate IDs with one ID defined as the default. Each ID has a number and a type that identifies how the ID is used, such as Rapid Rewards or specific pharmacy brands. The list of ID types is automatically created based on your store settings in Paladin.

To find a customer account using Advanced Lookup, select the Rewards Number search option, and enter any of the alternate IDs.

The IDs on a customer’s account are displayed in the Customers module on the Electronic tab in the Alternate Customer IDs pane. The default ID is the first ID in the list.

To edit these IDs or add new ones, in the Alternate Customer IDs pane, click Edit ID Data. Then make your changes in the Alternate ID Manager, and click F12 finish when you are finished.

All ID numbers must be unique within Paladin. For example, you cannot have two customers that both have alternate IDs of 100.

To manage customer account IDs:

  1. In Paladin, on the top ribbon, select the Customers module.
  2. On the bottom ribbon of the module, click Advanced Lookup.
  3. Search for the customer, and then click F8 Select Customer.
  4. Click the Electronic tab. A list of IDs for this account appears in the Alternate Customer IDs pane.

  5. To add a new ID or edit existing IDs, click Edit ID Data to display the Alternate ID Manager.
  6. In the Alternate ID Manager window, make changes using the following procedures:
    • To create an new ID:
      1. Enter the new ID number in the Enter Alt ID box, and then click Add.
        This ID number must be unique among all customer IDs in Paladin. If you enter a number that is already in use, a message displays, and you must enter a different number.
      2. Highlight the new ID, and then select the correct Type from the list.
        Note: If there is only one type available in your store, the type is set automatically, and a list of options does not appear. If there is more than one type, only the types your store uses are in the list.

      3. Repeat the previous two steps for as many IDs as you want to add, and then click F12 Finish.
    • To edit an existing ID:
      1. To edit the ID Type, click the ID Type value and select a type from the list.
      2. To edit the ID Number, highlight the ID, click Edit, and then type a new number.
    • To set the default ID:
      1. Highlight the ID that you want to be the default.
      2. Click Set Default.
    • To remove an ID:
      1. Highlight the ID.
      2. Click Remove.
  7. When complete, click F12 Finish.
